Flounds is a pattern matching alarm clock.
Flounds generates a simple pattern which you have to match to deactivate the alarm and enter a snooze. On each subsequent alarm the pattern becomes increasingly complex, forcing your brain to wake up.
• Swipe to see the pattern as many times as you need.
• Starting complexity and how quickly the shapes multiply are both adjustable.
• Snooze length can be set from 1 to 59 minutes.
• 12 or 24 hour time.
• 12 alarm noises.

Basic instructions for use: due to the underworkings of iOS, Flounds, like all third-party alarm clock apps, requires that you keep it running in the foreground to function. You can lock the screen, but just do so with Flounds as the active app.
‣ Set an alarm from the main screen. Set a time, the snooze length (1 to 59 minutes) and an alarm sound.
‣ Turn the volume on your device as loud as you want it for the alarm. Floundss alarms will play with the Ring/Silent switch at either position, and will play regardless of whether "Do Not Disturb" is on or off, but if your volume is turned all the way down there will be no audible alarm.
‣ When the alarm sounds, unlock your device and Flounds will show you a series of shapes, and pulse the shapes to show you the pattern you must replicate to activate the snooze. Swipe to see the pattern again. Tap the shapes in the correct order to turn the alarm off and activate a snooze.
‣ Once you are awake, tap "End Snooze" on the main screen or simply switch away from the app for 15 seconds or more.
Note: if you switch away from Flounds while an alarm is sounding or while the alarm is snoozing, you have a 15 second window to switch back and it will restore itself.
The "Difficulty" section in "Settings" lets you test different difficulty settings without the alarm noises, and with an abort option if you get in over your head.
